Hey! By using Vocalo Lab, you're basically agreeing to these rules. I know, I know - nobody reads these things, but they're here to keep everything fair and square for everyone using my AI transcription service.
So here's what Vocalo Lab does: you give me your audio recordings, and I use AssemblyAI's enterprise-grade AI to turn them into text and summaries. Pretty cool, right? I've got a free version and a paid one with more features and higher limits. Pro users also get Notion integration - so you can send your transcriptions straight to your Notion workspace with one click. Use whichever works for you!

If you go pro, I use Paddle to handle all the billing stuff - they're the experts at this! You can pay monthly or annually (save some cash with the yearly plan). Cancel anytime if it's not working out - no hard feelings! Your payment info goes straight to Paddle, not me, so it's super secure. Check my refund policy if you need your money back. Your usage limits reset every billing cycle, so you get a fresh start.
By subscribing, you're also agreeing to Paddle's terms since they handle the payment processing. All billing disputes go through them first, but feel free to email me if something seems off!
Your audio is yours - I don't claim ownership of anything you upload. When you use Vocalo Lab, you're letting me process your files through AssemblyAI to create transcriptions. Both Vocalo Lab and AssemblyAI delete your audio files after processing to keep your stuff private - AssemblyAI also never uses your data to train their models. If you use the Notion integration, you're giving me permission to send your transcriptions to your connected Notion workspace - but that's still your content, not mine!
When you upload audio to Vocalo Lab, I use AssemblyAI to process and transcribe your recordings. AssemblyAI is a trusted enterprise partner with top-tier security certifications including GDPR compliance, SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA compliance, and PCI DSS standards. Your audio is securely transmitted to AssemblyAI, processed with their advanced AI models, and then permanently deleted from their servers. AssemblyAI never uses your audio data to train or improve their models - your content stays private. By using Vocalo Lab, you're agreeing to have your audio processed by AssemblyAI under these terms.
If you connect Vocalo Lab to Notion (Pro feature), you're allowing me to send your transcriptions to your Notion workspace. This requires you to authorize the connection through Notion's official OAuth process. I only access what's needed to create pages with your transcriptions - I don't read your existing Notion content or mess with anything else in your workspace. You can disconnect this integration anytime from your profile settings. When you disconnect, I immediately stop accessing your Notion workspace and delete any stored access tokens.
Look, I do my best to make Vocalo Lab awesome, but I can't promise it'll be perfect 100% of the time. AI is pretty smart but not perfect - sometimes it might miss a word or get confused by accents. If something goes wrong, I'll try to fix it, but I can't be responsible for any major problems it might cause in your life.
